With Halloween just around the corner, engaging in outdoor play provides a thrilling way to celebrate the season while promoting health, creativity, and community connection for all ages. It’s the perfect time to reconnect with your community by going to local festivals and participating in all of the amazing activities offered. There’s so many benefits to outdoor play for any age. Here's 5 of the top benefits of outdoor play:

  1. Physical Activity

Outdoor play is a great way to get in or stay in shape without feeling like you’re actually working out. Get your heart pumping with all kinds of activities.

  1. Building Memories

Do you remember your first funnel cake at a festival or the first time you stepped into a game truck? Perhaps you were able to win Connect 4 Basketball against your cousin and you have never beat her in basketball or you rode on a pony for the first time. Whatever it may be, you will be able to make memories with your family that will last a lifetime.

  1. Boosted Mood and Stress Management

Outdoor play can help you to feel happier, calmer, and even lower blood pressure!

  1. Teamwork and Cooperation

Outdoor group activities such as, Nerf Archery tag or team game truck games, can help to build teamwork skills as well as social skills.

  1. Community Togetherness

Halloween festivals are a great way to interact and meet new people in your community. This is great for children, parents, grandparents, and anyone. It helps provide a sense of belonging.
